Vorozhtsov Nikolay Nikolayevich (1907 - 1979)

Academician N.N. Vorozhtsov was appointed to the post of the Organizing Director of the Institute (1958-1979), who was an outstanding organic chemist, the founder of chemistry and technology of polyfluoromatic compounds in the USSR. In 1997 the Institute was named after this outstanding scientist.

Mamaev Vladimir Petrovich (1925 - 1987)

V.P. Mamaev was Corresponding Member of the USSR Academy of Sciences , who was an outstanding organic chemist, expert in the chemistry of heterocyclic compounds.

Koptyug Valentin Afanas'evich(1931 - 1997)

Academician V.A. Koptyug was involved into study of reaction mechanisms of aromatic compounds and molecular rearragements of carbocations and applications of computers in solving organic chemistry problems.
