Regional preparatory meeting for the 2023 COPs for the Eastern Europe region
The head of the Stockholm Convention Regional Center, director of the NIOC SB RAS Prof. Elena Bagryanskaya took part in Regional preparatory meeting for the 2023 COPs for the Eastern Europe region which was held from 28 to 30 March 2023 in Zagreb, Croatia. The purpose of this event is to provide an opportunity for Parties to conventions in the Eastern Europe region to consult before the Conference of the Parties scheduled for 01-12 May 2023 in Geneva, Switzerland.
These meetings provide the Regional Centers of the Eastern European region the opportunity to exchange experiences, prepare for the discussion of the main issues for the reduction or elimination of emissions from the industry related to persistent organic pollutants, and consider documents on the inclusion of new substances in the list of persistent organic pollutants.
