The Stockholm Convention Regional Centre for Capacity Building and the Transfer of Technology in the Russian Federation invites you to take part in the conference "Management of persistent organic pollutants in Russia and abroad" on October 28-29, 2021 (online. Zoom platform).
The main objectives of the event:
- explaining the range of existing threats to the state of ecosystems and public health, as well as future generations caused by the production, distribution and bioaccumulation of persistent organic pollutants
- exchange of experience in the development of environmental programs and strategies on the management of persistent organic pollutants (POPs) and the implementation of the Stockholm Convention on POPs
- presentation of foreign and interstate solutions in the field of persistent organic pollutants management
- familiarization of managers and specialists of enterprises of the industrial and agro-technological sector with the practical aspects of environmentally safe handling of persistent organic pollutants
- informing about existing developments in the field of identification, monitoring and destruction of persistent organic pollutants
Representatives of public authorities and leading specialists of scientific organizations and supervisory bodies in the field of chemical and environmental safety are invited as plenary speakers and experts.
