Basel and Stockholm Convention Regional Centers meet in Geneva 

Head of the The Stockholm Convention Regional Centre for Capacity-building and the Transfer of Technology in the Russian Federation Prof. Elena Bagryanskaya took part in the annual face-to-face meeting of Directors and Coordinators of the Regional Centers under the Stockholm and Basel Conventions, which was held in Geneva, Switzerland from November 7 to 9, 2022. 

The event has been held almost annually since 2008 and is aimed to promote the enhanced collaborating between the Regional Centers, coordinating actions in the provision of technical assistance to countries participating in the Basel, Rotterdam and Stockholm conventions. The meeting was organized by the Secretariat of the BRS conventions. These meetings provide the Regional Centers with an opportunity to exchange experiences and discuss among themselves, as well as with the Secretariat and other partners, the different problems.
