DEVELOPMENT OF NEW DRUGS FOR SPECIAL DANGER INFECTIONS AND TREATMENT OF SOCIALLY MEANINGFUL DESEASES
On the basis of fundamental research, there has been developed an ideology of search for biologically active compounds and new drugs from readily available plant metabolites.
On the basis of the general synthetic approaches there has been realized a research program on selective transformations of plant terpenoids, alkaloids, and metabolites of phenolic type.
It has been formulated and developed a new scientific area: synthesis of commercially valuable polycyclic compounds by heterogeneous-catalytic transformations of large-tonnage dendrochemistry products – monoterpenes.
Collaborative work of the scientists of various scientific and educational institutions of the Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences and the Russian Academy of Medical Sciences has made it possible to develop high-performance anti-HIV agents (Betulonic Acid Dipeptide, Patent of RF
№ 2211843), agents reducing side effects of cytostatics (Betulonic Acid Alanylamide, Grant of patent decision of October 23, 2008 to issue a patent for invention on patent application № 2007 134627/04(037825) of 17.09.2007) and perspective inductors of apoptosis of cancer cells for pre-clinical testing.
