The laboratory of pharmacological investigations was founded in 2000. From that moment more than 1000 novel compounds were tested by 60 experimental animal models, among them perspective opioid analgesic, antidepressant, nootropic, anxiolytic, anticonvulsant, muscle relaxant, hepatoprotector, cytostatic toxic effects corrector, antihypertensive, antiarrhythmic, antiulcer, anti-inflammatory, anti- hypercholesterolemia and antioxidant compounds were disclosed. Also compounds for the MR-tomography and nano-aerosol forms of water insoluble drugs were developed.
The toxic-pharmacological investigation of low-molecular plant metabolites and their synthetic derivatives with the goal of original medications creation.
Plant metabolites chemistry. Medicinal chemistry. Pharmacological properties and mechanism of action investigation of novel drug agents of natural or synthetic origin.
Pharmacological properties and mechanism of action investigation of novel drug agents derived by clathration with glycosides and polysaccharides.
Cytoprotective and antitumoral agents search among triterpenoids.
In vivo and in vitro investigation of analgesic, psychotropic and cardiotropic agent’s properties.
Pharmacological screening of novel biologically active plant and synthetic compounds.
Main scientific results:
- More than 1000 new compounds were investigated
- More than 200 articles and 4 books were published
- 12 PhD theses and 2 doctoral theses were defended
- Next promising agents were found: “BETAMID”, “GLYCIDIPIN”, “FLUOGLISIN”, “DIOL”, “RNA-sin”, “BISULFAMIN”, “METILAN”, “FURALANIN”.
